Session Objectives_Sep 10 TSPC (4) Professional Responsibility • (a) Professional Learning and Ethical Practice: The teacher engages in ongoing professional learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner. [InTASC Standard #9] • (b) Leadership and Collaboration: The teacher demonstrates leadership by taking responsibility for student learning and by collaborating with learners, families, colleagues, other school professionals, and community members to ensure learner growth and development, learning, and well-being. [InTASC Standard #10] TESOL STANDARD #3: PLANNING, IMPLEMENTING, AND MANAGING INSTRUCTION Candidates know, understand, and use standards-based practices and strategies related to planning, implementing, and managing ESL and content instruction, including classroom organization, teaching strategies for developing and integrating language skills, and choosing and adapting classroom resources.

  7. Self-Assessment and Course Evaluation • Complete course eval and give to Rich, who will deliver to the 6th floor. • With a colored pencil, mark any new boxes on your self-assessment form. Jot down 2 or 3 bullet points to questions on the back. • Debrief changes with a partner, I will collect these for my own course feedback. Thanks!
