  27. Availability of Infrastructure ASER Report 2012- Toilet facility is not available in 6.9% schools. But usable toilet available only in 60% of the visited schools Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

ISSUES • More than 2 months delay in release of funds (cooking cost) to schools • Mismatch between coverage of children and utilization of Cooking Cost, Food grain and Transport Assistance . • Poor inspection of Schools • Poor coverage under School Health Programme. • Less coverage of working days both in primary and upper primary stages Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

  29. MI FIndings • MDM was not served in few schools of all these three districts on Saturdays as per the instruction of Local Authority. • No meal was served during the day of visit if few schools due to non availability of food grains, cooking cost and poor attendance. • 02 primary schools namely (Inda Primary School & Bal Ram Dihi G.S.F.Primary School) are not provided the cook meal as it has no space to cook & non availability of water. The UPS (Jhargram Nani Bala Balika Vidyalaya) is not provided the cook meal due to infrastructure problem. • Delay in payment of cooking cost and honorarium to cook cum helpers. • Roaster of parents for inspection of MDM is not available in the schools. • Problem of pucca kitchen shed in some of the visited schools.
