  25. Grievance Redressal Mechanism • At State Level Commissioner & Director of School Education is the State level Grievance Redressal Officer. At District Level Joint Collector is the District level Redressal Officer. • The District Collector and Magistrate treat every MONDAY as GRIEVANCE DAY • Total complaints received : 180 Total complaints disposed : 140 • Most of the complaints were made by SHGs regarding delay in payment of cooking cost & Honorarium.   31. Proposal for Construction of Kitchen-cum-Store File is under process for releasing of funds for construction of these 24754 kitchen-cum-stores. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

  32. Proposal for Procurement of Kitchen Devices State has also submitted the proposal for replacement/ repair of already sanctioned 78,457 units of kitchen Devices. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

Proposed MME Plan • The following activities are proposed in MME Plan : •  Training to cook-cum-helper . • Engagement of manpower at State, District level. •  Publicity , Awareness campaign. •  Printing of monitoring & evaluation formats, registers etc. •  External Evaluation. • Hiring of vehicles for monitoring purposes.   34. MI Report for Hyderabad, Kadapa, Mahboobnagar, Nizamabad, Prakasam, Vishakhapattanam • 75% schools in Vishakhapattnam and Prakasam district were not getting cooking cost in time. • In tribal areas of the Visakhapatnam district it is reported that children are getting skin diseases and dry skin is predominant disease followed by itching. This is due to lack of Vitamin A. • In all the six districts, Hyderabad, Kadapa, Mahboobnagar, Nizamabad, Prakasam, Vishakhapattanam the available utensils for cooking the food are not adequate and very old.

  35. MI report contd. • 21% of the schools where Nandi is serving MDM in Hyderabad did not receive hot meal. • The Quality of the rice and Dal was found of substandard quality in 23% schools. • The eggs supplied by Nandi were at times half boiled and smelly. • 30% schools in Kadapa 45% in Mehboobnagar district did not receive foodgrains in time. • Shortage of 3-5 kg of foodgrains per bag was reported in 80% schools in Kadappa. • Most of the schools did not have pucca kitchen shed.

  36. ISSUES • Decrease in avg. no. of children availing MDM from 1st • to 3rd quarter. • Very Slow progress on construction of kitchen cum • stores. • Decrease in Enrolment. • Poor convergence with SHP for distribution of IFA and • Vitamin ‘A’ tablets. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India
