  3. Optimal sensor attachment Not advised! The sensor does not penetrate the collector. * Will not work on drainback systems. Yes! Sensor is placed inside the collector, under the glass

  4. Sensor placement instructions Step 1: With a 15/64” sharp drill bit, carefully drill alongside the hot-out connection and insert the solar control sensor for better protected temperature sensing.

  5. Above: The sensor tip inserted inside the panel, placed against the header Left: The sensor, as seen through the glass of the collector Above: The sensor is lubricated and slipped inside predrilled hole Drill sensor hole through grommet (illustrated on previous slide) 2. Sweat on plumbing connection 3. Lubricate drilled hole 4. Insert sensor for direct pipe contact
