  1. Senior English 2/14/11 • See problems as opportunities for growth and self-mastery. Agree or Disagree? • Why don’t cannibals like to eat clowns? • Zizz- nap. Goals – Begin fundraising effort for the service project. Organize and Discuss reasons for participation. Homework – None.

  2. Senior English 2/15/11 • It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable. Moliére. • Why don’t lobsters share? • Big six – the words you can’t say on TV. Goals – Consider justice in America. What are the strengths and weaknesses in our system? Homework – None.

  3. Senior English 2/16/11 • Make a list of the Jurors so we can keep them straight. Juror 1 is the “foreman/organizer.” Juror 2 is “piglet.” etc. • What do you call a boomerang that doesn’t work? • Culch – Rubbish, bull. Goals – Focus on the jurors and note what sort of risk they present to a fair trial. Add them to your list to make your descriptions more of each juror more detailed. Homework – None.

Why or why not? • Why did the belt go to jail? • Fico – “an act of contempt done with the fingers, expressing a fig for you.” Goals – Discuss important legal concepts in our system that are relevant to this movie. Homework – Don’t forget to study for Vocab. #23.

Goals – Complete vocabulary study #23. Discuss how the four basic legal concepts are illustrated in 12 Angry Men. Homework – None.
