  2. You will be able to identify and classify polynomials and be able to perform mathematical operations on them. OBJECTIVE

  3. A Polynomial (one or many terms) is a monomial or a sum of monomials. The Degree of a polynomial is the number of the largest exponent of any monomial term with a single variable, or the sum of the exponents of a term with multiple variables. Find the degree of each polynomial.

  4. Determine whether each expression is a polynomial. If it is, state the type (number of terms) and the degree of the polynomial. Example 1 No, there is a variable under a radical. Yes; binomial ( 2 terms); the degree is 9.
