S7-602-14 Conservation Project Overview • Task – Build a quarter scale model of the Hoover Dam • Why – To open up the view of Lake Dillon and allow more access for youth to canoes, fish, swim, and generally frolic • How Many Wood Badge Participants Needed – All, especially the Beaver and Bear Patrols! • Time Frame – Day 5: Sunday 10/15/14, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm • Items Needed: • Tools: Folding Shovels, Wheel Barrows, Tubs to mix cement, Wire Cutters and Duct Tape. • Clothing: Swim Trunks and Work Gloves • Other: First Aid Kit, Strong Backs, Water and Patience • Project Leadership – FQM Staff and Scout Leaders • Travel to Work Area – Walking • Safety Factors – Spread out and communicate when we are digging and throwing cement. S7-602-14 Conservation Project Overview • Task – Remove the encroaching underbrush and trees on the Parade Field • Why – To allow the space required for Scout Troops to properly assemble on the field for flag ceremonies • How Many Wood Badge Participants Needed – All, especially the Beaver and Bear Patrols! • Time Frame – Day 5: Sunday 10/15/14, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm • Items Needed: • Tools: Pruners, Hard tooth rakes, Limb saws • Clothing: Long sleeve shirt, Long pants, and Work gloves • Other: First Aid Kit, Strong Backs, Water and Patience • Project Leadership – FQM Staff and Scout Leaders • Travel to Work Area – Walking • Safety Factors – Be mind of the area you are working in. Inform others when dropping a limb or tree. Look out for your fellow Wood Badger Wood Badge S7-602-14
