For Potential Members, EEL is Here!Join now, pay later! • The Early Enrollment program is available in two parts: • NEA EEL is offered for individuals who have never been members of NEA • UEA EEP is available to educators, including previous members, who are re-enrolling (they have been members of NEA somewhere).

  3. NEA Early Enrollment Liability Plan (EEL) • Available only to individuals who are joining the Association for the first time; • The program is administered by UEA and the GEA UniServ Directors; • Legal services are offered through the NEA Educators Employment Liability Program; • GEA and UEA will provide publications

  4. UEA Early Enrollment Program (EEP) • UEA’s EEP is available to any certified educator (previous member) • Enrollees in the program will be considered non-members until the start of the 2013-2014 program year; however, temporary membership cards will be issued to EEL/EEP enrollees.

  5. PROGRAM START DATE • Under no circumstances will forms be accepted that are dated prior to April 1, 2013. • Legal services for any early enrollee will only be provided between April 1, 2013 and August 31, 2013. • BE SURE YOUR ENROLLEES DATE THE FORM APRIL 1 OR LATER!

TO ENROLL • Fill out the application information at the top. • Determine whether or not the individual has ever been a member of NEA. • If no, check “New Member” • If yes, check “Previous Member Rejoining”* • Ask if the individual wants • Payroll deduction (Our preference) • E-Z Pay (Information is on the reverse side) • Check/Cash for the entire yearly amount** • Be sure to PRINT your name as Local Assoc. Rep. * There will be no Dues Deduction listed, because dues amounts must be approved by the UEA HOD and the NEA RA. **Please discourage this choice.

  7. VITAL INFORMATION • Please be sure the Early Enrollee understands that these liability programs are limited in their scope (that’s why they’re free)! • Both programs have a $5,000 cap for criminal and civil cases. • Both programs give access to the GEA UniServ Directors (Star and Nikki) and UEA’s attorney.
