Today’s Discussion Includes: • Hello and Introductions • Approaches for supervisors to consider when they are supervising staff around the CCFC model • List of questions to help supervisors engage supervisees in a discussion • Supervisors share perspective on supervision of staff • Open Discussion: • Overall, how is the CCFC process working?

  3. Question: • Please tell us about your CCFC supervision practices? For example: • Do you have time to supervise? • What format/process do you use? • Are you able to have “clinical” conversations about CCFCs or is it more “administrative”?

Approaches for Supervision Have you… • Developed a process to reinforce and enhance the skills and knowledge of both parties? • Supported and promoted the professional development of those you supervise? • Created a time and place for colleagues to review the standards of practice associated with a CCFC?

  5. Approaches for Supervision cont.. Have you… • Engaged the supervisee in a discussion around the CCFC model? • Checked in with supervisee to see how they believe supervision about CCFC is working?

Questions to help engage supervisee in a discussion • What are your thoughts about how the CCFC process is working? • Are there any issues that you have presently around the CCFC process? • What % of consumers and/or families are: 1) willing to engage in a conversation, and 2) saying “yes” to participation • What challenges are you facing in the engagement process with • Consumers? • Using the Decision Guide • Using the Pre-Planning tool • Families? • Conducting outreach calls • Using the Brochure • What are you pleased with?

Questions to help engage supervisee in a discussion cont.. • What challenges are you finding in setting up CCFCs? • What challenges are you finding during the actual CCFCs? • In what ways can I be helpful in addressing areas that you are concerned about? • What would you want to do differently?

Supervisors Share Their Thoughts (with others in this meeting) • How are you effectively supervising your staff around CCFC model? • What questions do you ask your staff to get their input on how to approach clients? • Is there any specific approach you have that is working around supervision?

  10. Open Discussion: • How helpful are you finding the CCFC tools, i.e., guidebook, resources, etc.? • How can the Family Institute support you?
