Frequency Scanning Interferometry Motivation : Want to be able to - • Measure any length (range 60 mm to 1.5 m) to 1mm • Measure inside ATLAS tracker during operation • High radiation and low temperature -20 deg C no access, have to measure remotely • Very little space : • Components inside ATLAS must be low mass • Must be maintenance free for 10 yr ATLAS lifetime AND…
