Findings of Monitoring Institute Districts Covered : Kullu, LahaulSpiti ,Solan 100% of the schools visited were serving hot cooked meal daily. 100% of the schools of the district were receiving the food grains regularly and quality of food grains are good. Buffer stock of one month’s requirement was maintained in 100% of the schools of the district. Iron tablets had been distributed in 90% schools. 100% of the visited schools of the district have LPG gas for cooking.

  29. Areas of Concern Contd.. • More than 70% of schools in Kullu district & 90% schools in Solandistrict are receiving cooking cost for 2-3 months delay • More than 70% of the schools, honorarium to CCH was paid after two- three months • Foodgrains are not delivered at the school level. Teachers are lifting on their own in all the sampled schools. • 4. It was observed that roster system for community members had been maintained in only in 5% of the schools.

  30. ISSUES Enrolment has come down from previous year , below the children covered under MDM during last year. 2. Inspections are carried out only 50% of schools instead of mandatory of 75% by end of 3 quarters.
