ICT Integration in Teacher Education Institutions: Attitudes, Skills, and Challenges

This study examines the attitudes, skills, and challenges of teacher educators in integrating ICTs into instruction in teacher education institutions. It explores the relationship between expressed attitudes and perceived skill levels, as well as the level of ICT integration in these institutions. The findings provide recommendations for professional development and infrastructure support to enhance ICT integration in teacher education.

What is the relationship between expressed attitudes and perceived skill level of teacher educators in state universities, autonomous, and deregulated teacher education institutions in the National Capital Region towards the integration of ICTs to instruction? 2.   18. Recommendations • in the accreditation of schools, include these specific areas for evaluation: teachers’ skill on ICT integration or level of ICT integration • in similar studies, observe classes of teacher respondents or their students would be made to answer a questionnaire • in similar studies, these factors should be tested as a predictor of ICT integration to instruction: area of specialization, type of school where the teacher educator came from, and type of computer training received Teaching the Net Generation: Curriculum, Pedagogy and the Challenge of 21st Century Learning
