  2. What is a Mapping? • The definition of Mapping refers to the visualization of spatial data within a map. • In simple terms is selecting an area of interest within a map or image and storing relevant information that describes it.

  4. Bahía de Jobos Creating Mappings • Using an images as background, the users will have the option of creating vectors and/or polygons that represent a particular region or area of importance.

  7. Creating Mappings • The output of the tool will be database entries with the names of the regions and references to the images that make up that region. • For use by other applications within the WALSAIP project.

  8. Preview of Mapping Tool • The database will facilitate finding the stored mappings, using the search options of Mappings and Image Filters. • Current mappings names will be displayed for quick reference. • Real-time action information will be shown, for quick error corrections. • Mapping Area
