  6. Media Let’s talk about it…

  10. Bell Ringer Read the article, and be ready to discuss it. Think: What is the main idea? What does it mean to you?

  11. Communication

  19. Bell Ringer Daisy Girl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Id_r6pNsus A New Captain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZFr-LbWeMU In these two ads, do you see anything blown out of proportion, maybe even satirized? Remember satire does not have to be funny.

  20. Bell Ringer What would the world be better without? Why? What else would it affect?

  21. Bell Ringer What are your thoughts on this? Is it good or bad? Is it possible, or is it just a cool idea for a movie. Could anything go wrong with it?

  22. Hmmmm…

  23. Question… What is your primary means of communication? Why? Convenience? Accuracy of delivery? Explain why this means is better than others.

  24. What would be your handicap? Write a letter to the handicapper general, telling her about your handicap. Is it right for you to have this? Why or why not? Tell her your philosophy on “everyone being equal.” Prove to me that you understood the story by citing details in your letter. It is okay to be a little cocky here. Due tomorrow

  25. Bell Ringer Assume that someone told you that social media is an attempt to be a great equalizer. Would you agree or disagree with that person? How would you frame your argument (what would you say to him or her)? I’m genuinely interested to hear what you have to say.

  26. Privacy Go to the 12 Comm Notes section of my website.

  27. Bell Ringer Assume that someone you know came up to you and asked your opinion of social media sites and their companies’ intentions. How would you answer them, after reading yesterday’s article about Zuckerberg and Privacy? Is this answer different than you would have given a week ago?
