Denitrification rates and fluxes of DIN were measured in the four seasons, at four stations

  • Annual nitrogen budgets for the four sampling sites

  • ~230 t N yr-1 discharged by the STP and ~221 t N yr-1 removed by denitrification (and anammox)

  • -> Estuarine sediments as major N sink
