  2. Meeting with telecom operators Brussels, 22nd June 2005 OBJECTIVE: • Further involvement of the Telcos in the eCall initiative • Discuss how to contribute to a sustainable business model ATTENDANTS • T-Mobile, Telecom Italia, Telefonica Moviles, Orange, Vodafone Europe, KPN, Cap Gemini OY

Meeting with telecom operators: Conclusions The Telecom operators will: • establish a working group on eCall, which will interact with eCall DG • participate in the ETSI standardization on eCall • study the eCall costs (SIM, SIM maintenance, network adaptation) and benefits for telcos • link with ACEA to provide input for the IVS design • produce a position paper on eCall • Next meeting: 31st August 2005

Meeting with insurance sector Brussels, 5th July 2005 OBJECTIVE: • Further involvement of the insurance sector in the eCall initiative • Discuss how to contribute to a sustainable business model (i.e., premium incentives) ATTENDANTS • Mondial Assistance, Allianz, RBS Insurance, Thomas Miller, GDV, CEA, ABI, MAAF, MMA

Meeting with Insurance Sector: Conclusions • CEA will inform their members about eCall initiative and will produce a position paper • Thomas Miller will liaise with eCall DG to produce a list of requirements for Insurance companies • Allianz will lead a group to work on the analysis of eCall benefits for insurance sector • Insurances will cooperate providing data for the socio-economic analysis • Insurances are willing to cooperate on user awareness
