Student Conduct • When you enter the room, go directly to your seat and be prepared to start class. • Listen carefully and follow directions the first time given. • Refrain from the use of inappropriate language. • Keep hands, feet and all objects to yourself. • You are not allowed to chew gum at any time. • No Cheating on tests or homework assignments. The penalty is severe: a “F” or “O”. No make-ups. • Substitute teachers are to be treated as Guests

  3. Show Respect • Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. • Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect. • Honor the ideas and opinions of others. • Offer to help. • Be responsible with property and belongings.

  4. Policies • The lavatory pass is to be used for emergency use only. • Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as class begins at that time. If delayed by someone, get a pass. • Books should be kept in good condition and covered at all times. • Lost books must be paid for before another can be issued. • No one is allowed to go to their locker during class. • Absences • It you miss a class for any reason, you are still responsible for the assignments. See the teacher or a classmate to get the work.

  5. ASSERTIVE DISCIPLINE Misbehavior will not be tolerated. • Name on the board = Warning • One check= Copy of the Pride Standards • Two checks= Copy of the Pride Standards, parent contact and a detention. • Three checks= A pass to in-school suspention.

  6. Responsibility for Coursework • Bring notebook, textbook, assignment pad, and appropriate writing tools to class. • Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. Late projects are dropped one grade. • All assignments are written on the board. It is your responsibility to copy it into your assignment pad. • Always do your homework.

  7. Grading • Grades are based on the accumulation of points. • Points are based on: • Class participation, class work and homework (25%) • Project work (25%) • Test Grades (50%) • Our Grading Scale • 90-100% = A • 80-89% = B • 70-79% = C • 60-69% = D • Below 60% = F • Grades are calculated on cumulative percentage and are rounded up whenever possible.

  8. My Pledge to Students • I will trust you until you give me reason to do otherwise. • I will respect you and work with you to solve problems. • I will promptly correct and offer feedback on your work. • I will work with you to meet learning goals. • I will offer extra help and alternative assessments should you require them.
