  2. Great Wall of China Because of a group of Chinese nomadic people called Mongols, Shih Haung –ti connected all of his defensive walls into large walls to keep the Mongols from destroying China. This huge wall stretches over 1,500 miles and is about 25 feet tell with 40 foot towers. In Chinese the wall is called “Wan-li Qang Qeng”. During the Ming dynasty the wall was expanded to over 4,000 miles!

  3. Yin-Yang • The Chinese thought that Yin and Yang were opposite forces meaning “shaded” and “sunny”. Yin was associated with everything dark, and receptive.
