  1. My Last Lecture By. Amanda Appio

  2. 1991 I was born on March 17th 1991 ( St. Patrick's day) Making me 18 years old as of right now. I was born in Southside hospital. My Fathers name is Jimmy, My mothers name is Laura and at this point I only have 1 sister named Tina. I don’t remember much from when I was born I don’t even remember being born but looking back at movies of me when I was little and pictures I wish I remembered more of my life when I was little than I do now. Back than there was no drama I didn’t even know how to walk or talk yet, it best the best life ever! As I was told I was a good and quiet baby. As A Baby

  3. Turning Five Years Old Me turning 5 years old wasn’t the same as everyone else turning 5 years old. For me it was different, and what was different was I didn’t have parents who lived together. I remember the day of my 5th birthday wondering why I had to blow out my candles and have cake without my daddy, or why I had to go to a different surrounding to see him and him having another lady next to him who wasn’t my mommy. But growing up I began to realize all these little thoughts in my head had a word and that word was divorce, my parents got a “divorce” and that other lady was my step mom and I remember her being a lot of fun and always taking me places with daddy. After that day i now knew what divorce was and I had to go to my dads every other weekend and till this day I still have to switch houses every other weekend it’s a pain but its something I have to do.

  4. Beginning High School Going into the high school was a very scary thing for me it was much bigger and there were a lot more people in the hallways. I was never the best in school so for me it was a struggle and being the second oldest I had a lot of responsibilities to take care of back at home. Going into 11th grade I began going to BOCES for cosmetology, I now graduate in 1 week and go for my license and hope to open my own shop someday. I work in a salon and finally get to practice my skills on my own clients and get paid for it. I’m also attending Suffolk community college in January for criminaljustice because I love to point out illegal stuff and my dad’s a cop so its pretty cool to hear the stories that he’s gone threw during the years he worked. Another career I’m interested in is social work. I love helping people with problems and listening to what they are having problems with because growing up I’ve been through a lot myself so I can relate. Switching schools at the end of my senior year was a big change for me having to leave all my friends behind graduating with a bunch of people I just met being 30minutes away from where all my friends are and from where my mom and my family is, is very hard to deal with. Social Worker

  5. My Boyfriend This Is my boyfriend Andrew. It all started on February 14th 2007. I remember it like it was yesterday. Even though we have our hard times I cant imagine what It would be like without him. He has his sweet moments and his nasty ones but so do i. and despite that we both see through them because we love each other. Sometimes parents don’t understand and they disagree but when it comes down to it that doesn’t stop us because we know what we have and we know that nobody can take that away from us and nobody can get in the way. He makes me so happy when were together and I cant wait to see what the future has in store for us!

  6. My perspective on life The way that I look at life is you forget the past but look forward to the future. You cant live off of regrets or you’ll never be happy. Family always should come first no matter what because regardless the struggles you go through with them, in the end they’re going to be the only ones there. Friends come and go, boys come and go and you should never change who you are for somebody else. If someone cant accept you how you are than they don’t deserve to know you anyways. Abraham Lincoln once said “ And in the end, its not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”. I like that quote because its explaining how when it comes down to it its not how long something’s been going on or how old you are its about how you live your life in the time that your alive. I believe that life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are.

  7. Highlights throughout my life Throughout my lifetime some bad, some good things had happened but everyday I wake up and start over thanking god that I do wake up everyday and that I’m healthy. In September of 2008 I was on a show with my mom, step dad & my 7 brothers & sisters called opportunity knocks. It’s a game show where you have to answer questions about each other to win prizes and money. It was fun while it lasted and an amazing experience. But as time goes on it doesn’t even feel like it ever happened. We won many prizes and a decent amount of money that we all split. It was fun to be behind the scenes of what famous people have to go through and realizing some things aren’t acted out like many people think. I also went to the Maury show for my 18th birthday with my mom and two of my best friends it was a lot of fun and a lot of drama!

  8. My Fallen Angels, Rip* Throughout your life you always have those special people that influence you to be a better person and do your best. Not everyone can live forever and not everyone’s life is as easy or hard as others. When god feels the time is right he takes people from us, sometimes there was a reason and sometimes it was an accident. God doesn’t intend to hurt us. I’ve lost many people already throughout my lifetime who have made an impact in my life and realize that life’s to short enjoy it while it last. Rest In Peace, Grandpa Appio, Anne Graziano ( Jillian's Mom) Vito Kern ( Christina's Grandpa) Little Grandma, B.Clark and Many Others that are in my heart. Your Loved & Missed Always. Keep shining down on me and guiding me down the right path. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. " Life is a brief intermission, between birth and death, enjoy it."

  9. Most Memorable Quotes "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.” “Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.” “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” “The difference between school and life? In school, you're taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you're given a test that teaches you a lesson.” “Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.” “Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.” “The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.” "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."

  10. My Motivation What motivates me to do good is my parents, my friends, wanting to be independent my boyfriend and the people I love that have passed away in my life. It has been a struggle for me to get through high school but I got my act together and pulled through till the end. Now finally on June 9th 2009 I graduated my two year cosmetology program at boces and on June 27th 2009 ill be graduating from riverhead high school and going to Suffolk in January 2010
