Tough, but not impossible Fundraising times • Recent Convio study found: • 51% say they intend to give online to charities; • 24% of these say they will give $100 or more; • Even of those who say their financial situation is worse than the previous year, 46% say they plan to donate; • 61% say they will give about the same amount as last year, 6% say more, 33% say less. • Ways nonprofits can save money on technology: • Invest in online marketing • Reduce new hardware purchases, upgrade existing instead • Adopt software operating “in the cloud”

For Example: • Gifts over $1,000 warrants a call from the ED, Development Director or Board Member • New memberships receive a welcome email on the day they sign up and a packet in the mail 5 days later • Email invitations for an annual event should go out 4 months ahead of the event Technology is typically the least daunting part, it’s getting your organizational processes organized that takes work.
