It is not well established school but having lack of sources we are still in the struggle for the Prosperity of Education in Local areas where there is no school and community can not afford the school.Gaffari Town is situated 10 kilometers far from the main city.

  2. There is no any school for the kids and the total houses are 300 and 200 children are just wondering in the streets. Having lack of sources and funds STEP started this informal school and was able to give low cost subsidized educational program to the local children. We have 70 children those who are getting education. • This was the final promotion result of the Mashal-e-Rah model school running by STEP. • Objectives: • To give education at low cost to the deprived kids • To promote the sense of development and better future. • To work for the slum areas community at grass root level. • To assist the community their children from darkness to light Problems: Pakistan is third world heavily Populated country. It has big hindrance in the way of sustainable development. Lacking of employments, human resources, education & health facilities are increasing poverty. According to official survey literacy ratio is in age 15 & above can read and write Total is 48.7 %( Male 61.7% Female: 35.2%) Population: 165,803,560 (according to the July 2006 survey Our city Faisalabad literacy rate is 40 % which is much much less than the neighboring country of Asia like Sri Lanka whose literacy rate is 100 %. Due to this illiteracy we are unable to control our economy properly. Gaffari Town is situated southern of Faisalabad the houses were given by the local owner on installments. Because the poor community was not able to pay payment at one time. There are some problems which are the hurdle in development. Lack of Education Lack of health facilities Unemployeement Lack of skilled education Lack of awareness High growth rate of population Lack of sources for the developmentPoverty is big hurdle in development Lack of awareness

  3. An Appeal: This is STEP and all the Local Community appeal. We want to improve and build more rooms and want to have school material for the deprived kids at Mashal-e-Rah Model School as soon as possible. There are 200 more children who are still wondering in the streets. They are involving their self in the unethical activities. This school has no more capacity to accommodate more then 70 children. There is need to build more rooms for more children who are just wondering in the streets. Mothers are very disappointed about their children future. Unemployeement and lack of sources can not permission them to sent their children in the costly schools. We have Attach the Project Proposal for the establishment of this school and basic sources for this slum areas community.

  29. Progress Report of Books Gifted by BIBLIONEF STEP INTRODUCATION. Social Transformation and Educational Prosperity-STEP is a non-profit, volunteer and non Governmental organization. “STEP” was inaugurated in 2000. It is working to develop the people through awareness. “STEP” started the mobilization of community of “Local Towns” is locality of Faisalabad People of the area especially women are deprived part of the society. They realized that their unity would change their marginalized life. So with the passage of time they themselves realized their problems which are hurdle in the way of their development. With few community meetings they became able to decide that a group is the present need of the areas which can assist to solve their problems. So resultantly they develop an organization named (Social Transformation and Educational Prosperity-STEP) Background:- STEP is working with the community of slum areas and focusing the educational Prosperity especially for the street kids, orphan kids and working children. Biblionef has given us different categories two boxes of books for these kids in the shape of Gift. These books are available in the Library of Mashal-e-Rah Model school Gaffari Town Faisalabad. Kids are really learning good activities and knowledge from these books. In the beginning Teachers were having some problems with the kids because English is not their mother language. But now kids are really enjoying those books and they love to read them again and again. Through these books there is more interest in the children to love the books and read more and they are now anxious to read more books. Miss Sajida is Teaching the kids. Teachers enjoying books with the kids Successes and Failures:- These books were such a great gift for the kids and it is big achievement of S.T.E.P. Now kids have good knowledge from these books and more interest is taking place among the kids. Mostly free time of the kids goes in the study of the books. But at the same time there are some failures also. We could not provide them Chairs and tables to read these books in the Library. We have still very less books for the kids.

  30. Now more children are coming for study in this Library. We have very short place and now kids are double than before. There are 118 books and now almost 350 kids are coming for study from different schools and areas. There are still some kids who can not understand without help of the Teachers. Kids are getting wood animals. Kids are enjoying books. Suggestions:- We need more books but this is very hard for us to pay in the courier service due to lack of budget. If there is any opportunity for us to get these books free from DHL. Then we can get more books for these 350 kids. We have already request if there is any possibility for the more games and also more animals made of wooden and more handkerchiefs. We hope in future we will work hand in hand for these poor and deprived kids in education through these gifted books. It became possible only by the help of Biblionef to read these wonderful and expensive books for the poor and deprived kids. We hope we will get more help in the shape of books and Knowledge
