  4. Grading Major grades: Tests, Projects, Binder checks (70%) Daily grades: Homework, class work, quizzes (30%)

  5. Late Work Policy • Late work for daily grades will be accepted one day after the due date for a maximum of 50% credit. Assignments more than one day late will be accepted for feedback, but no credit will be given. • All major assignments will be accepted one day late for a maximum of 70% credit and two days late for a maximum of 50% credit. Major assignments more than two days late will be accepted for feedback, but no credit will be given. • * District policy states that major grades are to completed or turned in on the first day after an absence; this applies to both excused and unexcused absences. For example, if you miss a test due to an illness and the absence is excused through the attendance office, you are still required to make up that test on your first day back to school.

Parent Access Link for Grades: • http://www.conroeisd.net/student-parent/pac.asp • Z – Assignment needs to be completed and currently is counted as a zero • X – Assignment does not need to be completed and will not count towards the GPA • - Means that the assignment has not been graded yet • Interactive Notebooks (Binders) • Major Grade • Several Daily Grades will be pulled from the notebook.

  7. Test Retake policy • Submit any missed assignments for the retest unit prior to the reassessment date • Attend 60 minutes of tutorials with any Geography teacher or designated CP peer tutor • Complete and submit any assigned unit study guide or review prior to the reassessment date • Retake the test within 2 week following the posted grade • Complete Part A of the reassessment form and submit to your teacher within 1 week of the posted grade • Only 1 retake per 9 weeks is allowed
