    5. Body of the Lesson Plan  Introduction: (about 5 minutes)   Student Activity:   Closure: (about 5 minutes) Providing students with opportunities to reflect and express what they are learning.  

    6. Get attention Give a question Surprise your students Relate to past knowledge/ experience Create a need to know Why are they learning this? Make it exciting Share the objective in general terms

    7. Closure Providing students with opportunity to reflect & express what they are learning. One DSU teacher will lead.

    9. A week before you teach Lesson Plans are due to me:

    10. Individual responsibilities Work with the team Hold up your responsibilities Come with ideas, but be flexible Work with the whole group, but… Responsible to a smaller group of students because you will be writing a letter to their parents Take your turn at all aspects of the lesson

    11. While teaching Spread out in the classroom Model the behavior you would like your students to do All teachers must be ready to work with any child in the classroom Be an pro-activity teacher

    12. Your small group of students Divide up the classroom of students between you Write down your children’s names You need to make sure your students complete their writing You need to make sure your students’ papers are assessed You will be responsible for the letter going to their family

    14. Dispositions and Dress Dispositions will be assessed on you by the classroom teacher and your peers On time Prepared for your role for each day Dress professionally Go into the classroom with a positive attitude these students are looking forward to your visits
