  3. BackgroundInstalled Structure Education System More than 6.000 public schools for basic education all over the country, organized in more than 900 local groups. Each of the groups of schools has a teacher responsible for the coordination of health education projects in basic schools (HEC: Health Education Coordinator). National Health Service 74 groups of Health Care Centers all over the country. Each Health Care Center develops a national school health program and has a School Health Coordinator (SHC: School Health Coordinator).

Implementation Plan 2009/10 Launching Session of e-Bug to invited Stakeholders September 11, 2009 Gulbenkian Foundation Auditorium Lisbon, Portugal. - 350 invited stakeholders from allover country (online registration) - From Ministry of Health: SHC and RSHC, RICC - From Ministry of Education; HEC, Science Teachers, School Directors and Regional Coordinators - Program includes presentation of e-Bug and Implementation Plan - Packs will be distributed to all invited participants - Participants will be invited to register as e-Bug users

Implementation Plan 2009/10 Local Implementation will be supported all over the country by a Moodle Platform (e-learning platform from DGIDC/ME for health education projects): • A “discipline” called e-Bug has been created in the platform. • Teachers must register themselves as e-Bug users and will be able to: • exchange experiences on-line with other registered teachers • get on-line support from the e-Bug Portuguese team and from local and regional coordinators

  8. Implementation Plan 2009/10 Evaluation Questionnaire In July 2010, e-Bug users must answer a small evaluation questionnaire on: • Strengths and weaknesses of e-Bug • Added value of e-Bug to teachers and pupils • Proposed corrections and suggestions
