Findings of Monitoring Institute • Districts covered : Tawang, Upper Siang, Lohit • West Kameng • MDM is served for 3-4 days in a week. • 81% (29 schools) managing food grains on weekly basis due to storage problem in West Kameng • One month buffer stock is not maintained in any of the schools. • Cooking cost for delay- 2/3 months.

  27. Contd.. • The weekly menu is not being displayed because there is some uncertainty of availability of the items. • 30% of the schools were serving a little less quantity of food due to inclusion of pre-primary children under MDM. • The cash payment is made a sum of Rs. 33/- per working day /cook which is against the revised norms in Upper Siang

  28. There is mismatching between the supply of food grains and receiving of cooking cost. • Micronutrients are not given to the children. • No participation of community in the monitoring and supervision of MDM.
