  2. I will read “Daily Life of a Plantation Slave” • While I read, think of an adjective (descriptive word) that you think best summarizes/describes the daily life of a slave.

  3. **Think of your adjective Some Examples: difficult, sad, disgusting, awful, angry, thoughtless, terrible, tiring, unfair, etc.

  10. Protest Signs Large crowds gather all across the United States to hold rallies and protests. Protests allow consumers to group together for causes they believe in or feel strongly about. Many protests are political in nature, while others are related to social or environmental causes. Most participants in protests hold signs that allow them to make a statement.

Reflection Activity- Left Side pg. 24 Your Task • You are going to create a Protest Poster for an abolitionist to hold at a rally to protest slavery in the United States • Your Poster Must Be: • Short, Catchy Message - Related to the abolitionist movement • Decorative (Ex. Big bold letters, colorful, eye-catching) **Something to Consider: Protest posters sometimes have a fun saying, something that rhymes, and gets peoples’ attentions DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE SUMMARY AT THE BOTTOM!!!!
