Why R.A.C.E.? • We are practicing for when you have to answer something like an essay question or if you have to defend your stance (opinion) about a topic. • We need to practice supporting our opinion with FACTUAL EVIDENCE– hard to argue against you if you have good evidence! • Practice explaining the evidence– why that evidence is the best & why others should think like you 
