School Uniform • For girls: Grey skirt, pinafore or trousers (blue and white checked dress in the Summer) • For Boys: Grey trousers or shorts • White polo shirt/shirt • Navy blue sweatshirt/cardigan Most items of school uniform can be purchased online at www.yourschooluniform.com PLEASE NAME EVERYTHING!

  5. Things we need for school • Warm/waterproof coat • Footwear suitable for outdoor play • A pair of wellies (to be left at school) • P.E. kit (black or navy shorts and white T-shirt) in a drawstring bag. All jewellery must be removed • Blue book bag

  6. Induction Process • Induction meeting • Visits to school • Home visits (for those new to school)

  7. Induction arrangements August 2014 • Week1 Thursday 28th August 8.50 -12.00 • Friday 29th August 8.50 – 12.00 • Week2 Monday 1st September 8.50-1.00 • All children stay for lunch • Week3 Monday 8th September • Children may attend for full days

  8. Let’s do lunch! • Hot meals are provided by Caterlink, freshly cooked on site each day, free for all children in EYFS and Key Stage 1. • Please notify us if you would prefer your child to have a packed lunch.

Gradual introduction to longer school day Getting to know each other in FS2 and welcome new children with lots of fun activities Getting to know the daily routines in FS2 Accompany your child to their classroom, help them to find their peg for their coat and drawer for their book bag Collect your child from the playground at the end of the session First few weeks

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 7 areas of learning: Prime • communication and language • physical development • personal, social and emotional development Specific • literacy • mathematics • understanding the world • expressive arts and design The children learn through practical play-based activities Having fun learning
