  1. Welcome to the ASA Meeting February Edition

  2. Chinese Whispers • Basically like Whisper Down the Lane. • One person whispers a message to another, which is passed down through a line of people until the last player announces the message to the group.

  3. Fundraising To raise money for the club, we are going to be doing several different fundraising events: • T-shirt Selling • Frozen Yogurt? • Car Wash (April) You must participate in at least one of these.

  5. T-Shirt Selling • The pricing of T-Shirts is $10 each. • You must sell at least 2 or 3 T-Shirts for fundraising. • People can begin ordering /selling in February. • Last day to sell T-shirts will be March 5th.

  6. Coffee/Tea/Hot-Cocoa Meeting • What do you want to do? • Yes, let’s do this! • What kind of mix do we want? All of them? • Who wants to bring some in? • Bringing them in gets → 2 points. • Bring one in for yourself that day :) • We need: Water boiler, tea bags/coffee mix/hot-cocoa mix, cups, • No, let’s not do this. • We’ll all sit down and chat about what we can do in the spring. • Anything that is going on now a days.

  7. ASA Dance Last day to buy tickets is MARCH 3rd. When: Sat 3/8/14 Where: Namsan Banquet Hall 1002 Skippack Pike Blue Bell, PA 19422 Ticket Price: $25 • Go to Sahn Yoon or Christine Lee for tickets and forms.

Charity? • We have already donated $95 to the Leukemia Walk. • However, that was based on only 5 people paying with their own money. • Seems like the Philippines are not in good condition still. • Charity to the Philippines? • If so, then where can we donate to? A church? A website? • Do we still want to keep up with Children’s Hospital as our charity?

  9. Charity? • Do we even want to donate considering we have donated $95? • Yes, we should donate. • How to Help (List) • No, we should not donate. • Children’s Hospital? • Save up for Leukemia Walk next year? • Suggestions?

  10. What’s Coming Up? • Fundraising: • T-Shirts, FroYo, Car Wash, E.T.C. • The month of May will not be as big for ASA. • Due to: AP Exams, SAT, and Finals preparations. • Possible ASA Competition? • Trivia? • Dodgeball? • Ping Pong? E.T.C. • Songkran? (Water Gun Festival) • Scavenger Hunt?

  11. End of School Year Trip • Where do you want to go? This determines: • Overall cost of trip. • Time and money spent traveling. • Time and money spent on site. • How much we have left for next year. • Donations and charity work? • Next year’s trips and activities. • Options that have been considered: • Chinatown: • Pros: Not expensive and close by. Will mostly focus on visiting shops and eating dinner. • Cons: Less excitement than other choices.

  12. Trip Continued... • - • Six Flags Great Adventure • Pros: Lots of excitement. Several nearby Six Flags parks. • Cons: Cost to get there can be expensive. Chaperones may be required. Cost per ticket will likely be ~$30

Musical Chairs • Rules + Game set up: • Set the desks around in a circle. • Let the music play. • When the music stops hurry to a seat! • Anyone without a seat is out until a new game. • Winners: • Last person standing gets a small prize (상품, 賞, 奖品) → Candy • Anybody who wins twice can switch out a candy for a point. (one time use).
