HCAL Base Board - HBAB • Features : • Base board for 6 Analog Boards (HAB) • Communication with DAQ (CERC) • Trigger for CMB board • Two versions : ECAL left and right populated Status : - 2 Boards in production (‚right populated‘), production + assembly : 3-4 weeks - design of ‚left-populated‘ : finished in 1 week Mathias Reinecke HCAL – Technical Meeting 1

Timeline • Risks / Delays : • Test of series production : board by board till mid August 2005 • (500 HABs, 80 HBABs). • Manpower for DAQ software and series test ? • Design errors on HBABs (delay per redesign : 7 weeks) • A lot of unknown features : Noise, temp.-stability, dynamic • range, mechanical interface to SiPM cassette, CMB interface • (ground loops etc.) Mathias Reinecke HCAL – Technical Meeting 8
