  2. SOUNDERS v RAPIDS 3-1 It’s English tradition that the open cup winners play the league champions in a game of charity. The Sounders in there final preseason game start the scoring a 28 yard free kick by Montero soars into the box and Hurtado jumps over everyone puts one into the back of the net to give the sounders the lead but lead lasted only 6 minutes before Hurtado called for the foul in the box Larentowiczdrills a ball right up the middle and Keller goes to left. Not long after a ball placed into the box is headed down by O'Brian White to Friberg who give a throw ball to Montero and he put in his first of the match. The final goal happens when Noonan clears the ball to White who gives another threw ball to Montero who puts away the 3-1 win. The sounders win the community shield
