  2. Lesson 14William Penn Starts His Colony William Penn is the person who began the colony of Pennsylvania.

  3. Lesson 14 continues…. William Penn began the colony of Pennsylvania for religious freedom. The Quakers are the religious group that began the colony of Pennsylvania. The Delawares, a group of Native Americans, helped the new settlers in 1681.

  4. Lesson 15Penn’s Colony is a Great Success William Penn believed that Native Americans should be treated fairly. To show that he treated the Delawares fairly, William Penn paid them for their land.
