Preamble-RECAP • An intensive 4 days has been spent on ISSER premises, our gracious host and partner . • By ICED criteria which is subject to peer review this has been a very successful conference in terms of organisation, participation and the quality of discussions and substance. • We have had participants from over 15 countries and the variety span: • Academia • Development sector partners and workers • Civil Society Groups • Evaluators • Consultants • Representatives of Government machinery: Ministers, Chief Directors, First Secretaries as well as Civil and Public Servants • Students

  3. Preamble-What Have we Achieved? These workshops have been used to: • Create the awareness about the need for navigating the chain from evidence to action • Upgrade our skills and knowledge in the topics discussed which included: • Using Rigorous Evidence in Design Implementation and Reviewing National Programs and Policies -Howard White, Campbell Collaboration • Practical Tools for Co-Creating Research with Government-Bridget Gyamfi , Cynthia Bosumtwi-Sam and Edward Tsingo-Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) • Data Visualisation and Dashboards – Adnan Mahmud, Live Stories • Analyse des criteria d evaluation des project enAfriques – Paul Tekou and Trinita Inrombe of E4D-Lome,Togo • Integrated Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches to Develop Transformation Pathways for Sustainable Development-Amos Nuguna and Makyba Charles-Ayinde, Belmont Forum • Beyond Impact Evaluation-Choosing Right Evidence Tool-Maxwell Oteng and Martin Gould of IDinsight
