  15. Snacks We have snack at 9:15 every morning. Please pack a healthy snack and water bottle. I do not allow the kids to go to the cafeteria for a snack. It takes too much time to go to the cafeteria. Children will not be allowed to eat chips or cookies. We have several students with peanut allergies, so please do not send any snacks made with peanuts.

  16. Take Home Folders It is the students’ responsibility to make sure they show you any paperwork that goes home and then bring it back the next day. Please empty this folder each night and put any notes to me inside it.

  17. Discipline • If your child makes a poor choice and breaks one of our rules, they are asked to move their clip down. • If the child moves his/her clip down again after the warning stage, they will receive 10 minutes of the teachers choice. (lunch isolation, work in another class, writing an apology, recess, etc.) • If the child moves his/her clip down a fourth time, he/she will receive a mark in the red folder. • Puzzle Piece for Super Day/Sticker for Super or Good Day

  18. HOMEWORK!!!! • Daily homework…please make sure your child reads for 20 minutes and practices addition and subtraction math facts daily. • A monthly homework calendar will be in your child’s red folder at the end of this week. These are optional assignments that can be completed if you would like for your child to do more than the standard 20 minutes of reading. There are also many homework suggestions listed on my website.

  19. BIRTHDAYS Children are allowed to bring treats for their birthday. Cookies or glazed donuts may be brought with your child the morning of their celebration (no nuts, please, due to food allergies). If your child brings a treat, please send napkinsand any others utensils that are necessary for the treat. Summer birthdays will be celebrated in April and May. I am very flexible, but please let me know in advance if you are sending treats so I can plan for the event.
