  2. How are migraines diagnosed? the International Headache Society diagnoses a migraine by its pain and number of attacks (at least 5, lasting 4-72 hours if untreated), and additional symptoms including nausea and/or vomiting, or sensitivity to both light and sound.

What’s the physical impact of migraine headaches? the disease is poorly understood, under diagnosed and current treatments are often inadequate Those with migraine are more likely to have depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, other pain conditions, and fatigue. Those who experience an aura phase have been shown to be at risk for stroke and heart attack.
