June 2013: Chapter Tool Kit A unique opportunity to align the chapters with a national initiative • Develop a Chapter Toolkit for Decreasing Violence and Improving Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Your Community • The toolkit will provide information and tools to help chapters plan and conduct a local Child/Adolescent Mental Health Roundtable or Education Summit

As a PNP, how do you think you can best raise awareness about mental health in your community? • What are key problems in your community? • What are prevalent misconceptions? • What percentage of children is diagnosed with a mental • health disorder? • Do you screen for mental health problems during • routine well care? • Do you talk about infant mental health?

August 2013: Back to School Event • Provide all members with resources and materials related to • mental health promotion and violence prevention during • “Back-To- School” • Encourage all NAPNAP chapters to host a back to school event • Outreach to media with tools/resources for back to school • Offer a school counselor webinar on mental health screening
