Prayer Time

This piece explores the divine design of humanity as created in God's image, emphasizing the concepts of dominion, choice, and the complexities of suffering in our lives. Drawing from Genesis, we recognize God’s commands and the consequences of choice. Theodicy reminds us of the interplay between God's power, love, and the presence of suffering. Furthermore, biblical passages teach us how to confront tribulation with courage and how, through Christ, we can find and extend comfort in times of trouble. Join in prayer and reflection on these profound themes.

  5. A War of Worlds: Overcoming Evil with Good • John 16:33 - In the world you have tribulation [suffering, trouble, affliction, anguish, persecution]; but take courage; I have overcome the world. • Romans 12:21 - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

  6. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as the suffering of Christ flows over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
