What does Mrs. P do to go GREEN? • I use cold water when I wash my clothes in the washer machine. • I always have a full load in the washer machine. • I don't use my dishwasher - I wash my dishes by hand. • I use environmentally friendly products to clean my bathroom. • I pay bills online • I reuse my coffee mug - not disposable coffee cups - when I go to Wawa. • I brew my own coffee in the morning • I don't keep my faucet running when I brush my teeth. • I turn off lights in my house when I leave the room. • I recycle all glass and plastic bottles at my house. • I donate used clothes to Purple Heart instead of throwing it out. • I use reusable grocery bags - not plastic bags - when I grocery shop. • I place paper at school in the recycle bin - not the trash can. • I will hang some of my clothes to air dry instead of using the dryer. • When possible - I use my "cruise control" on highways to get better gas mileage. • My husband washes our cars at a car wash - not at home. • I use rechargeable batteries for my camera - not disposable. • I use 'e-tickets' rather than get tickets mailed to my house. • I try to buy local produce and products when possible. • I use a reusable lunch bag to pack my lunch - not paper or plastic. • I reuse my plastic bags from stores as liners in my smaller trash cans in my house. • I use paper products instead of Styrofoam. • Instead of throwing out unused aluminum cans - I donate them to can food drives. • I keep my thermostat in the winter between 64-67 degrees. • I recycle used print cartridges at Staples when I purchase a new one.
