• 再如doctor这个单词，但/k/音后面是辅音/t/，故/k/不再发音。

•  以上任何一个爆破音在句尾时，这个爆破音不再发音。如Good night!最后的/t/音便不再发，整句话可读作/gu_nai_/。

• /h/

任何一个辅音，若后面紧跟着/h/音，那么此时/h/不发音。如Come here!；再如I love her.

• /v/

此音后面若紧跟辅音，此时/v/不发音。

如Give me可以发音为/gi_mi:/。

/v/+/w/时，/v/不发音。如of water=a water

Assignment两个连续的爆破音在词尾，后面紧接着是辅音或半元音时，这两个爆破音均不发音。
