  1. CABLE MATERIALS

  2. CABLE MATERIALS • For power lines, for automobiles, for wired machinery and communications equipment Nitto develops and delivers protection and insulation materials that are the keys to performance and safety. The Nitto Denko line-up of insulating tapes and putties includes many outstanding functional combinations to match needs that come in many shapes, sizes and situations. • Nitto offers three kinds of cable materials: • Self fusing rubber tapes • Aluminium tapes • TELE-COLD-SEAL Click in the toolbar on View > Header and Footer to change the date and the footer text

  3. CABLE MATERIALS 1. Self-fusing rubber tapes Self-fusing insulation tape 11EP   Designed for high temperature and high voltage cable splicing. Self-fusing putty 12FB   By stretching around connectors, cables or other objects, the soft and tacky putty will instantly    amalgamate into itself, thus creating a waterproof sealing; also used as filling and sealant substrate. Self-fusing, linerless insulation tape 15   Widely used for the electrical insulation, protection, sealing, splicing and termination of 6 to 22 kV    cables. Self-fusing semi-conductive tape 16S   Designed for the splicing and termination of electrical cables. Click in the toolbar on View > Header and Footer to change the date and the footer text

  4. CABLE MATERIALS Self-fusing stress control tape 1600   Designed for the reduction of electrical stress occurring at high dielectric constant within straight and    terminating joints.  Self-fusing silicone rubber tapes66 is a stretchable and 68 is a non-stretchable self-fusing silicone rubber tape. Both have properties    unrivalled by natural and synthetic rubber. Self-fusing stress control tape CP tape SC   This high dielectric, synthetic rubber tape is developed for the reduction of electrical stress occurring at    high dielectric constant within straight and terminating joints. 5. CABLE MATERIALS • 11EP Selffusing Insulation Tape • Nitto 11EP is an insulating tape designed for high temperature and high voltage cable splicing (up to 66 kV). The tape’s semi-cured Ethylene-Propylene-Terpolymer (EPT) rubber backing provides excellent weather and corona resistance. The high mechanical strength of the tape enables its use without the need for a protective tape. • Typical Properties • Breakdown Voltage45 kV/mm   • Elongation980 %   • Functioninsulation   • MaterialEPT rubber   • Tensile Strength4 N/mm²   • Thickness Tape0.5 mm   Click in the toolbar on View > Header and Footer to change the date and the footer text

  6. CABLE MATERIALS ier Control Tapes 12 FB Putty Tape Nitto 12 FB is a self-amalgamating putty tape. By stretching and wrapping around pipefittings, cables or other objects, the putty will instantly amalgamate into itselve, thus creating a waterproof insulating barrier to prevent corrosion. 12 FB is usable in- and outdoors. Typical Properties • Descriptionself-amalgamating putty • Elongation 3000 % • Tensile strength   0.01 N/cm • Thickness backing - • Total thickness1.00 mm Click in the toolbar on View > Header and Footer to change the date and the footer text

  7. CABLE MATERIALS 15 Selffusing Insulation Tape (Linerless) Nitto 15 is a self-fusing, butyl rubber tape, widely used for the electrical insulation, protection, sealing, splicing and termination of 6 to 22 kV cables. Nitto has eliminated the conventional need for a liner thereby reducing the time required to apply the tape. Nitto 15 is available in 2 thicknesses: 0.5 mm and 0.75 mm. Typical Properties Breakdown Voltage42 kV/mm   Elongation550 %   Functionlinerless insulation   Materialbutyl rubber   Tensile Strength3.2 N/mm²   Thickness Tape0.5 mm   Click in the toolbar on View > Header and Footer to change the date and the footer text

  8. CABLE MATERIALS 16S Selffusing Semiconductive Tape Nitto 16S is a self-fusing semi-conducting butyl rubber tape for the splicing and termination of electrical cables. The tape can be wrapped tightly, without voids, to rubber and polyethylene cable jackets. The self-fusing butyl rubber is able to expand and contract as the operating temperature of the cable fluctuates. The tape is continuously marked: “SEMI-CONDUCTINGTAPE”. Typical Properties Breakdown Voltage-   Elongation340 %   Functionsemi-conductive   Materialbutyl rubber   Tensile Strength3 N/mm²   Thickness Tape0.7 mm   Click in the toolbar on View > Header and Footer to change the date and the footer text
