  3. Our Programs • Preschool for All • Fine and Performing Arts • Magnet Cluster Program • Regional Gifted Center

  4. Preschool for All • Free, ½ day program for 3 and 4 year olds; • Children must be 3 or 4 by September 1st to be eligible; • Children are chosen through a lottery system; • Currently sessions are 2½ hours in length • Morning session is from 9:30 am-12:00 pm • Afternoon session is from 12:45 pm-3:15 pm.

  5. Fine and Performing Arts • Kindergarten through 8th grade. • Challenging curriculum with fine arts integration. • Program includes: • Band • Ceramics • Dance • Drama • Music • Piano • Visual Arts

  6. A. N. Pritzker Cultural Arts Festival of Literature • Interdisciplinary • School Wide • Each class selected a “literary master piece” • Students composed original music and created works of art that related to their literary master piece

  7. Fine and Performing Arts Students have an opportunity to participate in: • 2012 Annual Musical Production: Fiddler on the Roof • 2012 Musical Production: 101 Dalmatians • Annual Visual Arts Project • Ceramic Classes • Drama Classes • Dance Classes • Violin Classes • Guitar Classes • Piano Classes • Pritzker School of Rock

Regional Gifted Center • Kindergarten through 8th grade; • Rigorous curriculum—1 to 2 grade levels ahead; • Curriculum focus on inquiry based, student centered learning; • One of only a few schools in the Chicago Public School system that has Regional Gifted and Fine and Performing Arts Magnet Cluster Program.

Our Success • 85.7% of Pritzker students met or exceeded state standards on the 2010-11 Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) • Earned Illinois Spotlight School Award for 2008-09 and 2009-10 • Earned an Level 1 (Excellent) Performance Management Rating for 2009-10, 2010-2011 • In 2010-11, 72% of our 8th graders who applied for admission to selective enrollment high schools were accepted • Our graduates are accepted to many of CPS’s high-performing high schools such as: • Chi Arts • Jones College Prep • Lane Tech • Noble Street Charter Schools • Lincoln Park • NorthSide College Prep • Walter Payton • Westinghouse • Whitney Young
