  1. The Day of Judgement Module 1 – Circle 3b

  2. What will be the first question asked on the Day of Judgement? The Prophet (pbuh) stated, “The first thing one will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer.” (Sunan Abu Dawud, al Nasa’i:Kitab al SalahBab al Muhasabati `ala al Salat #469-471 - Sahih) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  3. Which other questions will be asked on the Day of Judgement? The Prophet (pbuh) said: “The feet of a servant will not move on the Day of Judgment until he has been questioned about four things: his life - how he spent it, his knowledge - how he acted upon it, his wealth - where he earned it and how he spent it, and his body - how he used it.” (Tirmidhi) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  4. Will our actions be judged alone? Hadith of Martyr, ‘Alam & Rich Person – Actions are judged by Intentions… Module 1 – Circle 3b

  5. Will we able to make excuses or tell lies during the questioning? "On the day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions". (An-Nur, verse 24) "And they will say to their skin:" Why did you bear witness against us? "They will say "Allah has caused us to speak, as He cause all things to speak." (Al-Fussillat, Verse 21) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  6. Who will question us on the Day of Judgement? The Messenger (pbuh) said: “Allah (swt) will talk to everyone directly, without a translator. The person will look to his right, and will not see anything but his deeds. Then the person, will look in front of himself and will see nothing but the hellfire facing him. So protect yourself from Hellfire even by giving a charity of half a date.” (Bukhari) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  7. Will people be questioned in the same way on the Day of Judgement? 1) Allah (swt) will quickly and easily skim through the people's deeds, and will allow them to enter paradise safely. Those who believe strongly with sincerity, will enter paradise in this manner. “2) Allah (swt) will discuss the people's deeds in depth and in detail, and will hold them accountable for each evil act they committed. Then Allah will send them away to the Hell Fire. These are the disbelievers, hypocrites, those who are weak in their faith, or those who are not sincere will enter the Hell Fire in this manner. Module 1 – Circle 3b

  8. What will happen to the people who are questioned in detail? Ai'sha (ra) said that the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Destroyed is the one who has his account settled on the Day of Resurrection” , Ai'sha said: "O messenger of Allah, didn't Allah say "Then he who is given his records in his right hand soon will his account be taken by easy reckoning" (Al-Inshiqaq, Verses 7 and 8) The prophet (pbuh) replied: "This is the skimming through the deeds; and destroyed is the one who has his account settled on the Day of Judgment.” (Bukhari & Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  9. Will Allah swt speak to people in private? Most people on that day will have their sins exposed in front of the whole of mankind. The prophet (S.A.W.) said: "Allah will bring the believer very close and privately and ask him "Do you know this sin? Do you know that sin? The believers reply will be, “Yes Oh Lord,” until he is reminded about all of his sins, and he thinks he will perish. Then Allah will say "I covered up your sins during your life, and I will forgive your sins today. Then he will be given his book of good deeds. But the unbelievers and hypocrites will be asked about their deeds loudly in front of the creatures. (Bukhari & Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  10. Will Allah swt be Merciful on The Day of Judgement? Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Allah has one hundred degrees of mercy, of which He sent down one among the jinn, mankind, the animals and the vermin, by virtue of which they show compassion and mercy to one another, and the wild animal shows compassion to its young. But Allah has kept behind ninety-nine degrees of mercy by virtue of which He will have mercy on His slaves on the Day of Resurrection.” Module 1 – Circle 3b

  11. Will anybody enter Paradise through their good deeds? Narrated Abu Huraira (ra): I heard Allah's Apostle (pbuh) saying, "The good deeds of any person will not make him enter Paradise." (i.e., None can enter Paradise through his good deeds.) They (the Prophet's companions) said, 'Not even you, O Allah's Apostle?' He said, "Not even myself, unless Allah bestows His favour and mercy on me." So be moderate in your religious deeds and do the deeds that are within your ability: and none of you should wish for death, for if he is a good doer, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil doer, he may repent to Allah." (Bukhari 7.577) Module 1 – Circle 3b

  12. Would you enter Paradise through your good deeds if you worshipped Allah swt for 500 years? Hadith of Jibril (as) regarding the man who wanted to enter Jannah through his good deeds… Module 1 – Circle 3b

  13. How are peoples’ deeds recorded? Allah swt has appointed two Angels (KiraamanKaatibeen) who record our good and bad deeds whilst we are alive. "But verily, over you [are appointed angels in charge of mankind] to watch you, honourable [in Allah’s sight] writing down [your deeds] they know all that you do." (Qur’an 82:10-12) These Angels are constantly writing down your good and bad deeds (thoughts and actions). These recordings will be presented on the Day of Judgement. Module 1 – Circle 3b

  14. How are peoples’ deeds measured? “Then whoso is given his account in his right hand. He truly will receive an easy reckoning.” (Inshikak- 7, 8)  “But whoso is given his account behind his back, He surely will invoke destruction. And be thrown to scorching fire.” (Inshikak-10, 11, 12)  “The weighing on that day is the true (weighing). As for those whose scale is heavy, they are the successful.  And as for those whose scale is light: those are they who lose their souls because they used to wrong Our revelations.” (Surat-u Araf- 8, 9)  Module 1 – Circle 3b

  15. What is the Bridge of Siraat? The 'Siraat' is a bridge which will be set above Hellfire, as the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Then the bridge will be brought forward and be put on Hellfire." The companions, (ra), inquired: ''And what is the bridge?'' He replied: ''It is a slippery surface." (Bukhari and Muslim) The Prophet (pbuh) said: "So their light will be according to their actions. ...Some will pass over the Siraat (the bridge on Hellfire) according to their light, so some will pass (at the speed of) a wink of an eye, and some like lightening, some will pass like clouds, and some like the swooping down of a star, and some will pass it at the speed of the wind, and some others at the speed of a running strong horse……" (Al-Haakim, At-Tabraani) Module 1 – Circle 3b
