  2. A homogenous mixture– appears to be a single substance • Solvent– the largest quantity in the mixture • Solute– smallest amount of a substance in a mixture • WATER is the UNIVERSAL SOLVENT What is a Solution?

  3. Row # = # of shells in atomic Bohr structure (1-3) • # of Elements in each row = the maximum # of electrons that shell can hold. • Atomic Number = # of protons (determines identity of ATOM) • Atomic Mass = # of protons + neutrons P.T. connection to Atomic Structure
