    2. GRADD / DEGREE Rydym yn defnyddio graddau (e.e. 90°) i fesur onglau We use degrees (e.g. 90°) to measure angles

    4. MESUR ONGLAU / MEASURING ANGLES Rydym yn defnyddio ONGLYDD i fesur onglau. We use a PROTRACTOR to measure angles. Mae graddfa glocwedd a gwrthglocwedd ar yr onglydd A protractor has a clockwise and anticlockwise scale Os yw ongl yn troi (agor) yn glocwedd mae angen defnyddio’r raddfa allanol If an angle turns (opens) clockwise you must use the external scale Os yw ongl yn troi (agor) yn wrthglocwedd mae angen defnyddio’r raddfa fewnol If an angle turns (opens) anticlockwise you must use the internal scale

MESUR ONGLAU / MEASURING ANGLES Cam 1: Rhoi canol yr onglydd ar gornel yr ongl Step 1: Put the centre of the protractor on the corner of the angle Cam 2: Troi’r onglydd fel bo 0° ar un o’r llinellau Step 2: Turn the protractor so that 0° is on one of the lines Cam 3: Mesur i gyfeiriad yr ongl gan gyfri 10°, 20°, 30° ac yn y blaen Step 3: Start to count in the direction of the angle 10°, 20°, 30° etc

CREU ONGL 70° / CREATING A 70° ANGLE Cam 1: Rhoi canol yr onglydd ar ben llinell syth Step 1: Put the centre of the protractor on the end of a straight line Cam 2: Troi’r onglydd fel bod 0° ar y llinell. Step 2: Turn the protractor so that 0° is on the line Cam 3: Mesur i gyfeiriad yr ongl gan gyfri 10°, 20°, 30° ac yn y blaen. Step 3: Start to count in the direction of the angle 10°, 20°, 30° etc Cam 4: Rhoi dot ar 70° Step 4: Put a dot on 70° Cam 5: Cysylltu’r dot â phen y llinell Step 5: Connect the dot with the end of the straight line

    7. YMARFERION / EXERCISES Gan ddefnyddio Onglydd a Pren Mesur, dyluniwch yr onglau canlynol yn eich llyfrau. Labelwch pob ongl fel hyn :- Using a Protractor and Ruler, create these angles in your books. Label each angle like this :-

    8. LLINELL SYTH / STRAIGHT LINE (180°) Nid ydym bob amser yn darganfod onglau drwy eu mesur. Gallwn gyfrifo onglau. We don’t always find angles by measuring. We can calculate angles. Mae onglau ar linell syth yn adio i 180° Angles on a straight line add to 180°

This happens when two lines cross each other. One RED ANGLE and one BLUE ANGLE add to 180°
