Retail Mode Installation Guide • This is an installation guide to install retail mode application on your Optimus L Series II. • This guide describes how to install retail mode application and • the necessary contents (video clips/images/flash apps) to your • Optimus L Series II using a microSD card, or a PC. • Retail mode application can play video clips with .flv format • or .mp4 format that Optimus L Series II is able to handle.

Retail Mode Installation Guide (PC Direct Installation - Common) Pre-Setting for Sample Phone & PC  Contents Download Path(MPIS system) MPIS > View > Project > MC > Optimus 2013 -> L-Series II -> L Series II Retail Mode 1. Phone Setting : ① Menu  Settings  Connectivity  USB connection type > PC software ② Menu  Settings  Developer options  check “USB debugging” * Do Not connect phone to your PC via cable during phone setting ** If you you see the system error message “MSVCP100.dll missed”, ① Download “MSVCP100.dll” to your PC ② Copy “MSVCP100.dll” to following system directory (C:> Windows > System32 ) 2. PC Setting : ① Download installer package from MPIS system to your PC ② Double click downloaded package and unzip the contents to your PC

Double Click! 3. Check the installation progress (include USB Driver) 4. Connect the phone to your PC via USB cable 5. Double Click! (window) 6. Click! 7. Check the installation progress 8. Check the application

Phone Setting : ① Menu  Settings  Connectivity  USB connection type > PC software ② Menu  Settings  Developer options  check “USB debugging” * Do Not connect phone to your PC via cable during phone setting 2. microSD Card Setting : ① Download RetailMode.zip to your PC (from MPIS system) ② Copy RetailMode.zip file to your microSD card If you want to change screen saver movie from default user guide movie, you should convert format of screen saver movie as .flv format instead of .mp4 format due to limitation on Optimus L9 play. you need to change file name starting with “1 OOO.flv & “1 OOO.png” (File name starting with “1” should be only one in the RetailMode folder)

Go to menu and press “Polaris Viewer or Polaris Office” icon 3. Press “Cancel” Press “Apps” icon Press “Polaris Viewer” icon Press “Cancel”

Press & hold (Long-press) “RetailMode.zip” file 7. Press Copy button on a pop-up menu and select root directory (copy RetailMode.zip file to the root directory) RetailMode2.0.apk Press Copy button and Select root directory Long-press “RetailMode.zip” file Press “My files” Press “external_sd”

Press “RetailMode.zip” file - It will be automatically extracted 9 . Press “RetailMode” folder 10. Restart your phone for media scanning of internal memory - If the name of the “RetailMode” folder is wrong or the folder does not exist at the root directory, you will see a warning pop-up and a password input screen 14. Go to menu and press “Retail Mode” app. icon 15. Check that contents are played properly on the phone 16.
