  5. Direct Object Pronouns Placement • When there is one verb, one option, in front of the conjugated verb. EJ: ¿Hicistela tarea? Si, lahice. (Did you do the hw? Yes, it I did.) 2. When there is a verb phrase there are two options. ¿Vas a hacerla tarea? (are you going to do the hw) • In front of the conjugated verb. Si, lavoy a hacer. (Yes, it I’m going to do.) 2. Attached to the infinitive. Si, voy a hacerla. (Yes, I’m going to do it.) *Remember you are REPLACING the noun, so ONLY use the pronoun in your answer otherwise it is redundant* NO: Si, voy a hacerlatarea. (Yes, I’m going to do it homework.)

Si/No, no la conozco. • ¿Aprendiste el preterito? Si/No, no lo aprendí. • ¿Vas a hacer el próximo proyecto cultural? CLARO QUE lo voy a hacer./Voy a hacerlo.

  8. Hints • Sometimes it helps to think about what the question is asking in English and how you would answer in English. • Then think about pronoun and placement. Ej: ¿Quieresesoszapatos?  ¿Me amas?  Do you want those shoes? Yes I want them. (I want  quiero, them  shoes  los) Order: Pronoun, then verb Si, los quiero. Do you love me? Yes, I love you. (I love  amo, you  te) Order: pronoun, then verb Si, teamo.

  9. Verb Phrase • Sometimes it helps to think about what the question is asking in English and how you would answer in English. • Then think about pronoun and placement. Ej: ¿Vas a invitar a Amy y Ana?  ¿Me vas a extrañar?  Are you going to invite Amy and Ana? Yes I am going to invite them. (I am going to invite  Voy a invitar, them  Amy & Ana  las) Order: In front of conjugated verb: Lasvoy a invitar. attached to infinitive: Voy a invitarlas. . Are you going to missme? Yes, I am going to miss you. (I am going to miss  Voy a extrañar, you  te) Order: In front of conjugated verb: Tevoy a extrañar. attached to infinitive: Voy a extrañarte. .
