  5. Editing and Proofing the Text • Having correct spellings in presentations is very important. • PowerPoint offers several features to help you proof the text you add to slides: • Tools to check spelling and grammar • Tools to check capitalization • Tools to check formats

Editing and Proofing the Text (continued) • Customizing the AutoCorrect List • The AutoCorrect feature will automatically correct commonly misspelled words. • You can add additional words to correct to the AutoCorrect list. • You can create exceptions in the AutoCorrect list so that certain terms or phrases will not be automatically corrected.

Improving the Readability of Slide Content • Using symbols and characters can help to explain the content in a presentation and make the text easier to read. • Adjusting the height of the font characters can improve readability. • You can number lists to indicate a sequence or a ranking of content.

Formatting Progressive Disclosure • Progressive disclosure isa technique that reveals slide content in increments. • To format slide content for progressive disclosure, apply customized animations. • PowerPoint provides numerous animations for entrance, emphasis, exit, and motion path effects.

Adding Interactive Features to theSlide Content • Adding an interactive feature can help to make a slide show more interesting and a presentation more practical. • Adding ActiveX Controls to the Slide • ActiveX controls enable you to create interactive objects on a slide. • ActiveX controls are found on the Developer tab.
