Religion -Not reading the bible is considered a form of worshiping Satan -Felt like they are here on Earth because God put them here for a certain purpose -Everything that had to be done for the Sabbath the day before -There was no work done on the Sabbath -All the sexes and genders were separated during church -Music not allowed in church

  3. Background Created because they left the Church of England First one was John Calvin They believed that the Church of England had become a product of political struggles and manmade doctrines Took some of the Christian believes and purified them

  4. Life A man's world Women did not participate in town meetings and were excluded from decision making in the church It is often said that New England invented grandparents, for it was here that people in great numbers first grew old enough to see their children bear children
