  9. Issues - Punjab • More Mini Kits for Rabi Pulses, to fill gap in seed requirement vs seed availability • Paddy variety PAU-201 Quality improvement is needed

Issues - Haryana • 7 flood affected Districts; farmers are re-sowing the crops; DAP requirement of 4.5 lakh tons may be fully met with. • Need More number of Machineries Testing and Certification Centres • Need terminal heat tolerant varieties of wheat • Salinity tolerant varieties of Gram needed • Bt cotton hybrids resistant to leaf curl virus needed

  11. Issues – Himachal Pradesh • Freight subsidy/reimbursement has been reduced by 30%. It is affecting the fertiliser movement, even though allocations have been made • Number of calls in Kisan Call Centre have increased manifold – Increase the number of agents to atleast 3 in each shift

Issues – Uttar Pradesh • Fertilizer month-wise arrivals do not match with month-wise allocation • Subsidy be allowed for old varieties (> 10 years) like NFSM • Procurement programme should be introduced for pulses and oilseeds • Varieties insensitive to heat needs to be developed • Establish Farm machinery Training Centre at SAMETI, Rahmankhera

  13. Issues – J & K • Training and Testing Institute for Machinery and Equipments in J&K need to be established in Jammu and Kashmir. • Funds under Stream I of RKVY are yet to be released by DAC.
