  2. What is an oil spill? Oil spills might happen when people make mistakes or are careless that cause an oil tanker to leak oil into the ocean.There are a few more ways that an oil spill might happen.Equipment breaking down may cause an oil spill.If the equipment breaks down,the tanker may get stuck on shallow land.When people start to drive the tanker again,they can put a hole in the tanker causing it to leak oil.When countries are at war,one country may decide to dump gallons of oil into the other country’s oceans.

  3. What causes oil spills? Oil spills can have a horrible effect in our environment.The causes are not always known but the majority are from accidents that happens in the ocean.Ships can carry large amounts of crude oil daily on our water.

  4. How are humans affecting marine life? People keep on destroying the marine life.They throw trashes and some other things that are bad for marine life.

  5. What is oil used for? Oil is used for most anything that will base need a petroleum.You can use it in daily lives with the use of compact discs,energy,all plastic products,and much more.
